Mr. Austin Curtis, prominent Pleasant Hill resident passed away suddenly this morning as the result of a hemorrhage of the brain. At the time he was stricken, Mr. Curtis was engaged in putting on a door lock at the Partington residence on West Monument Ave. Upon returning home about 10 o'clock, Mr. Partington discovered Mr. Curtis lying on the porch in an unconscious condition. He was rushed to his home on Hill Avenue in the Geeting ambulance and Dr. Woodhouse was summoned. He passed away at 10:45. It is thought that the victim was stricken about 2 hours before he was found. The deceased is prominently known throughout the Miami County. He has been engaged in the carpenter trade all of his life. Immediate survivors include the widow and two sons, John of Piqua and Forrest at home, and a wide acquaintance of friends who are saddened over the news of his sudden death. Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced in Tuesday's paper.9
