Obit | William Ralph's obituary was published in the Daily Post-Athenian on 8 July 1985: William Ralph Curtis, 88, of Etowah died Thursday evening at Woods Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Monroe County, a former resident of Clearwater, Fla., and a resident of Etowah for 50 years. He was a member of Carlock United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Burchfield Curtis of Etowah, two daughters, Mrs. Louise Coleman of Etowah, and Mrs. Marie Hall of Clearwater, Fla; two sons, Frank Curtis of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bob Curtis of Clearwater, Fla; nine grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Ruth Jones of Louisville, Ky; Mrs. Rita Crittenden of Etowah and Mrs. Rjolena Nichols of Hampton, Va; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery.11 |
