Surviving are two sons, Grant WALLER of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Emerson WALLER, of Fowler, Ind., three daughters, Mrs. Ancil GRAY, of Fulton; Mrs. Warren SMITH, of Huntington, and Mrs. Archie BROWN, of Rochester. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Methodist Church. Rev. T. L. STOVALL will have charge and burial will be made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.2 |

GINTHER, 35, died at 4:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at her home on south Main St., a victim of tuberculosis. She had been ill since the first of the year, when she contracted a severe cold, which settled in her lungs. Her condition gradually became worse as time advanced until death came. Carrie E. CAMERER was born in Fulton county, south of Rochester October 5, 1886, a daughter of Henry E. CAMERER, deceased, and Mrs. David A. WALLER of Rochester. She lived practically all of her life in this community until her marriage in June, 1910 to Harry GINTHER. They lived in Rochester for a short time after marriage, moving later to Ft. Wayne and from there to Louisville and later Covington, Kentucky, where he contracted influenza and died three years ago. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Ginther moved to Rochester, where she had since resided. Surviving are the mother, one daughter, Marjorie [GINTHER], and a brother, Fred CAMERER, who is in the West. Funeral services from the Methodist church Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. F. O. FRALEY in charge. Burial at I.O.O.F. cemetery.1 |

PERRY, 65, former prominent citizen of Rochester, died at 10 a.m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred McCLURE, 109 South Maple street, North Manchester. He had been bedfast since July. Mr. Perry, who conducted a law office in the Campbell building in the 800 block on Main street, was forced into retirement because of failing eyesight. He had been totally blind for the past two years. Last April 1, he and Mrs. Perry moved to North Manchester where they made their home with their daughter and her husband. From 1921 to 1930, he was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of this city. As his eyesight began to fail he entered the law business and maintained his offices here until August of the current year. Mr. Perry also served as head of the Fulton County Draft Board throughout World War II. He was born Oct. 8, 1885, in Cadiz, Ohio, to James and Anna E. NORMAN PERRY. On Sept. 8, 1915, he was married to Leora SHIELDS. He was a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio; the McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago; and the Sio Prep School of Ohio. Rev. Perry was ordained in the ministry in 1917 and prior to coming to Rochester held a pastorate at Chalmers, Ind. Mr. Perry was a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge No. 79; The Knights Templars, Plymouth, and the Rochester O.E.S. in which order he was a past patriarch. He was also a member of the Fulton County Bar Association and the Rochester I.O.O.F. lodge. Survivors are his wife and daughter, Mrs. Marjory (GINTHER) McCLURE, both of North Manchester, and a brother, William E. PERRY, Silver Springs, Md. The body was brought to the Foster funeral home, this city. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Final details for the Daniel S. PERRY burial services were announced today by the Foster Funeral Home. The services are to be held in Presbyterian church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Newton A. PECK, Chicago, and Rev. Donald DECKER, Rochester will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Charles SHERIDAN, Hugh G. McMAHAN, Lon ZIMMERMAN, Estel BEMENDERFER, Robert R. MILLER and Harvey WAYMIRE. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers: Alf CARTER, Artie MILLER, Dean NEFF, Charles STAHL, John WERNER and Ed FISHBACK. The Rochester Masons will give their final rites at the graveside in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.7 |

PERRY, 67, former resident of this city, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McCLURE, North Manchester. Mrs. Perry had been critically ill for three weeks. The Perrys were residents of Rochester for over a score of years. Her husband, the Rev. Daniel S. PERRY, was pastor of the Rochester Presbyterian church for several years. Mrs. Perry came to Rochester from Adena, Ohio, and had made her home with her daughter at North Manchester during the past year and a half. The daughter of Davis and Emaline (HAGAN) SHIELDS, she was married Sept. 8, 1915, to Daniel S. PERRY, who died in February of this year. Survivors are the daughter; three grandchildren, Richard, Elizabeth and Frederick [McCLURE], North Manchester, and one brother, the Rev. R. J. SHIELDS of Uniontown, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rochester Presbyterian church with Rev. Donald DECKER officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services. Friends may also call at the Foster funeral home.8 |

Mrs. See was a beloved young lady and made a host of friends by her kind and lovable disposition, who will be crushed by the sad news of her untimely death. The cortege will leave the Camerer home, Tuesday morning at ten o’clock and the funeral service will be held in Grace Methodist church, of this city. Obit | Philip S.'s obituary was published in the Rochester Sentinel on 21 July 1931: Grieving over the death of his wife and suffering from shock which he received early in the spring when taken for a ride by a load of bandits who held up and robbed the Standard Oil filling station at the south edge of this city, are thought to be responsible for the death of Phillip Samuel BAKER, 29, well known young man of the Macy community. Baker died Monday evening at 7:40 at the City Hospital in Indianapolis following an illness of several months, death being due to Lukemia, a very peculiar disease. The young man had been under observation of the Eli Lilly Drug Company at the City Hospital in Indianapolis, for the past five weeks. Hospital attaches said that this was their seventh case of Lukemia in the history of the hospital, and stated that the cause is either from a broken heart or a scare. Phillip Samuel, son of Phillip and Daisy (WAGONER) BAKER was born on July 10, 1902, at Wagoner’s Station, and most of his life had been spent in the Macy community. On June 26, 1926, he was married to Miss Phoebe BASH, who died on June 16, 1927. For several years he was employed at the Studebaker plant in South Bend and later at the Standard Oil filling station at the intersection of roads 25 and 31 in Rochester. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Daisy BAKER, who lives south of Green Oak on Federal road [U.S.] 31; a sister, Mrs. Von MIKESELL, of South Bend, and two brothers, Ray [BAKER] and Roy [BAKER], near Macy. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.2 |

Obit | Joseph C.'s obituary was published in the Rochester Sentinel on 11 February 1907: At his home in the south part of town Mr. Joseph ZOLMAN died this morning at three ’clock, age 49 years. Mr. Zolman had been sick ever since last August with stomach trouble. The Evening Sentinel - 1907 About the first of December he began to get worse and death came as an end to a long period of suffering. seph Zolman was born in Knox county, Ohio, in 1857 and moved with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Nathanial ZOLMAN, to Newcastle township in 1858. In 1879 he was married to Miss Bessie HOOVER, from which union there was born one child. Mrs. Zolman and child died in 1881. In 1883 Mr. Zolman was married to Miss Mettie POWELL. Three years ago Mr. Zolman moved to Rochester where he made his home. Early in life he became a member of the Baptist church and was also an active member of the K. of P. lodge of this place. The deceased leaves a widow, two brothers, John [ZOLMAN] and Sanford [ZOLMAN], and a sister, Adaline [ZOLMAN], all of this city, and a number of other relatives and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. Funeral tomorrow at 2 o’clock at Athens, Rev. SWITZER officiating. Burial at Mt. Hope cemetery.3 |

Obit | Estelle's obituary was published in the Rochester Sentinel on 15 March 1937: Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the residence 1223 South Main street for Mrs. R. P. TRUE, aged 75, who died at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon from a cerebral hemmorhage which she suffered on March 8. Services were in charge of Rev. T. L. STOVALL. Burial was made in the Odd Fellows cemetery. The deceased was a life long resident of Rochester. She was born in this city on March 29, 1861. Her parents were Asa and Isabelle MITCHELL, who were pioneer residents of Rochester. Her maiden name was Estella Josephine MITCHELL. In a ceremony which was performed in this city on October 27, 1887 she was married to R. P. TRUE who is better known by his many friends as Nobby TRUE. Mr. True operated a cafe and bakery in Rochester for many years. Mrs. True was prominent in social and church activities in this city during her entire life-time. She was a member of the Grace Methodist church. Mrs. True took parts in many home talent shows in this city. She leaves a wide circle of friends to mourn her departure. Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. E. Cooper ZARING, Indianapolis and Mrs. John BARRETT of this city; brother, Charles MITCHELL of Rochester; grandson Billy ZARING and granddaughter Peggy Lou BARRETT, and a number of nephews and nieces.1 |
