Church, she was born in Berkeley County, August 7, 1884, daughter of John and Eliza Linton Tederick. Twice married, her first husband, Ellsworth T. Michael died January 1, 1923, and her second husband, William W. McBee [sic] died in March 1945.
Surviving are five daughters-Mrs. Pentoney; Mrs. Margaret Unger and Mrs. Nettie McBee, Aspers, Pa; Mrs. Catherine Hovermale, Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Ella Dick, Martinsburg; two sons, E.T. Michael, Williamsport, Pa., and Donald McBee, Berkeley Springs; 23 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; three sisters-Mrs. Ella Overman, Denver, Col; Mrs. Martha Aikens, Martinsburg; and Mrs. Lucy McDonough, Baltimore, Md. Services were conducted on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion E.U.B. Church by the Rev. Carroll Jay. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Helsley Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Mrs. McBee's grandsons.5

Emory McBee, aged 21 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert McBee, of Sleepy Creek, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 1, in City Hospital, Baltimore, Md., where he been taken after he, while under the spell of a chronic illness, had swallowed a three-tooth dental plate. He was placed under the care of Dr. Zinn, a specialist. Pneumonia set in and so complicated the case that the specialist could not help him. He became a Christian early in life and joined the Evangelical Church at Bethel, near his home, where he was active, both in Sunday school and Christian Endeavor work. The body was prepared by a Baltimore undertaker and brought to his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Cross Evangelical Church with Rev. S.N. McCullough in charge. Interment was in the adjacent cemetery.4

Benjamine F. Ganoe died in the Western Maryland Hospital in Cumberland, Md. December 25, 1916, where he had a mangled arm amputated following an accident at Millards San Mill about a week previously. His arm was caught in a pump gearing and so badly damaged it had to be amputated. It was thought he was recovering when the news came on Christmas day of his death. He was born September 5, 1851 and was age 63 years, three months and 20 days, and was survived by his widow and four children: Mrs. J.C. Ruppenthal, Atlantic City; Mr. A.R. Ganoe, Brunswick, Md; Mr. J.L. Ganoe, Hagerstown, Md; one sister - Mrs. Mary Marshall, Dunbar, Pa; and two brothers - Mr. George A. Ganoe, Grafton, W.Va., and A. Edward Ganoe of this place. Services were conducted in the home by Rev. L. St. Clair Allen and the Junior Order Lodge of which he was a member conducted services at the grave.11

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs with the Rev. Bob Ardinger officiating. Interment was at the Greenway Cemetery in Berkeley Springs.1

Funeral liturgy will be conducted Thursday, February 26, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. John S. Ledford officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.2

Services were conducted Tuesday, August 25, at the Hunter Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Kerns. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery.2

Fleece was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church at Great Cacapon.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Stotler Fleece; seven sons-George (Joe), Robert (Gene), Freddie, Charles, Willard (Pete), Carl (Bill), and Richard Fleece, all of Berkeley Springs; four daughters-Mrs. Melvin (Margie) Franklin and Mrs. Arthur (Sandra) Ridgeway, both of Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Curtis (Ruth) Courtney and Mrs. Ralph (Shelby) Shambaugh, both of Great Cacapon; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Neely and Mrs. John Neely, both of Berkeley Springs; and 37 grandchildren. The body was at the Hunter Funeral Home where services were conducted Friday, June 30, by the Rev. Calvin Harden. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery on Route 522.2
