Mr. Curtis is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Colon and Brenda Curtis of Greensboro; grandchildren, Brad and Stacey Curtis of Charlotte and his sister, Faith C. Terry of Eureka, Calif. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Beatrice Wilcox Curtis in 1986.5 |

Mr. Curtis was a native of Guilford County and a 1956 Heavyweight Lifting Champion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of White Rock Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Boyd Curtis; three stepsons, Robert G. Boyd of the home, F.J. Boyd Jr. of Liberty, and Sam Boyd of Asheboro; one stepdaughter, Ruth Lois Booth of Charlotte; one sister, Faith Terry of Eureka, Calif; two brothers, Charles Curtis of Winterhaven, Fla., and Dennis Curtis of Greensboro; 13 step grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren.7 |
