Mrs. Ida Nichelson, of First St., Aragon, Ga., passed away at a local hospital last night at 9:30 o’clock after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Nichelson was born in Fannin county, Feb. 9, 1901, but has been living in Aragon for the past eight years. For a number of years Mrs. Nichelson has been a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her husband H.F. Nichelson, one son, Edward, three daughters, Edna, Lillie, and Marie, all of Aragon, and three sisters, Mrs. Zonie Nichelson of Copperhill, Tenn., Mrs. Lurie Cole of Blue Ridge, Ga., and Mrs. Emma Goddard, who lives near Lindale. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Aragon Baptist church, with the Rev. Dewitt Ragan of Atlanta, officiating. Interment will be in the Aragon cemetery. Appropriate music will be rendered by the church choir. The following have been asked to be pallbearers: Ben Gazoway, Barney Gazoway, Buck Hicks, Sylvester Mitchell, Noah Suits, and Andy Brock.2 
(Witness) ObitShe witnessed the Obit of Homer F. Nichelsen on 9 April 1973 at News Tribune, Rome, Floyd, Georgia, Rockmart – Homer F. Nicholson, 75, of Silver Creek, Rte. 1, died Sunday in a Rome hospital. He was born May 9, 1897, and was a retired textile employee. His parents were the late Will Nicholson and Alice Pittman Nicholson.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Brock Nicholson, Silver Creek; two sons, Larry Nicholson, Rome, and Edward Nicholson, Rockmart; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Wadsworth, Riverdale, Mrs. Marie Couey, Rome, Mrs. Lily Holland, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Syble Smith, Fayetteville; three brothers, Fred Nicholson, Franklin, Ga., Clifford Nicholson, Decatur, and Clyde Nicholson, Chattanooga, Tenn; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Hicksville Baptist Church, the Revs. Oren Holland and George Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Aragon Cemetery.7
