He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Inwood; the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, Martinsburg; and the P.O.S. of A. of Stotler's Cross Roads. A retired farmer, he had lived at Inwood since 1924. Prior to that he had lived near Berkeley Springs. Surviving are-one foster-son, Roscoe D. Watts, at home; a number of nieces and nephews; and three brothers-Dustin Graham, Jefferson county; Granville Graham, Gerrardstown; and Newton Graham, Berkeley Springs. Funeral services were conducted from the Gerrardstown Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon with the Revs. O.R. Kesner and W.E. Orndorff officiating. Burial was in Gerrardstown Cemetery.2

Mrs. Sarah Mae Graham, 68, wife of C.N. Graham, died Monday evening July 16, at her home here after an illness of two years. Born in Morgan county July 9, 1887, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Mary Ellen Kidwell Zeilor. She was a member of Trinity E.U.B. Church, the patriotic Order of America and the Daughters of America.
Surviving besides her husband are a brother and a sister-Walter Zeilor, Berkeley Springs, and Mrs. Bert Kees, Washington, D.C. The body remained at the Hunter Funeral Home until today, Thursday, when it was taken to Trinity E.U.B. Church for services at two o'clock conducted by the Rev. Earl Kesecker and the Rev. A.W. Glover. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with graveside services by the Daughters of America.

Surviving are eight daughters-Mrs. George (Eileen) Folk, Hagerstown; Mrs. Ray (Irene) Gray, Berkeley Springs, Mrs. Warren (Juanita) Collis; Leetown; Mrs. Raymond (Katherine) Creamer, Summit Point; Mrs. Paul (Claralou) Green, Mercersburg, Pa; Mrs. Edward (Glenda) Pierce, Charles Town; Mrs. Melvin (Devona) Snyder and Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Roper, both of Ranson; three sons-Lloyd A. Graham, Falls Church, Va., George A. Graham, Charles Town; Lee (Dick) Graham, Middleway; two foster sons, Walter E. Franks, Austin, Texas, and Forrest Glassford, Ranson; 25 great grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Granville E. Graham, Gerrardstown.
Services were conducted Saturday, February 14, at the Leetown Baptist Church by Rev. Millard Williams, assisted by the Rev. Russell J. Urquhart. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs. The family has requested that memorial remembrances take the form of contributions to the Citizens or Independent Fire Companies or the Cancer Fund, in Jefferson County.9

He was a member of the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nettie Puffinburger Graham, in 1955.
Surviving are his wife, Goldie Miller Roy Graham, at home; three daughters, Julia Barley and Anna Belle Puffinburger, both of Martinsburg, and Martha Mauck, Bristow, Va. Services were held Saturday, March 9, at the Omps Funeral Home, Winchester, with the Rev. Walter Bowers officiating. Burial in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church or the Martinsburg S.P.C.A.2

Cloyd E. Graham, 52, died in Newton D. Baker Hospital Wednesday, March 26, where he had been a patient for several weeks. Prior to that he was in a veterans hospital at Aspinwall, Pa., suffering from leukemia. The body was removed to his home in Cumberland, Md., until Sunday when short services were held, then brought here where funeral services were held at Trinity Evangelical U.B. Church by Rev. B.F. Hartman, Methodist minister, of Flintstone, Md., and close friend of the family.
He was born in Morgan county, a son of the late W.A. and Ella Grove Graham and for years had been employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, retiring three years ago due to ill health. He was a veteran of World War I. Military services were held at the graveside by Henry Hart Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Cumberland.
Surviving are his widow Margaret Clark Graham, also of Morgan county. Three daughters, and one son, Mrs. Leo Swinniger, Claudine, Phyllis and William at home; one grandson, three brothers, Ernest of Parkersburg; Barthol and Orbra of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Davison, of Stotler's Cross Roads; Mrs. Dorothy Unger of Berkeley Springs, and Mrs. John Linton of Martinsburg.11

James Johnston, son of John and Elizabeth Johnston, was born on the 15th day of January, 1814, in Morgan County, W. Va. His father died while he was very young. The most of his boyhood years were spent in Virginia, when at the age of eighteen he and his mother moved to Ohio and located in Miami County. In 1840 he married Rachel Freeman. To this union were born nine children, four of whom have preceded him to the better world.
He united with the Christian Church at Greenville Creek, and was baptized about forty years ago. He had been unable to walk for four months. Although his sufferings were very intense he has endured them with great Christian patience. He folded his arms in death on June 22, 1889. Aged 75 yrs., 5 mo. and 7 days. Mr. Johnston was an uncle to Mrs. U. Winbigler, Hiram, O.F. and Robert Johnston of this place, and resided near Covington where he was buried.2
