Tate and husband, David, Wayne Jones and wife, Debbie, all of Julian; brothers, Reggie Coble and Winfred Coble of Julian; grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Kimberly Jones, Jason Tate, Justin Tate, Tammy Tate Kindley, Kelly Jones Ward, and Michael Jones. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home in Pleasant Garden and other times at the home of her daughter, Sylvia.5

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Hubert was born July 8, 1924, in Guilford County to the late Harlan B. Coble and Lela Curtis Coble. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Coble's Lutheran Church, all of his life. Hubert was retired from the City of Greensboro after 20 years of service as an electrical inspector. Formerly of Monnett Road in Julian, Mr. Coble had spent the last five years at the Piedmont Christian Home in High Point where he served on the Resident Council and was the official greeter for many functions. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Garrett Coble who died in 1995.
Surviving are his daughter, Karyn "Kay" Willard and husband Dr. Virgil V. Willard II, of High Point, his son, Philip A. Coble and wife Lisa of Julian, one sister, Gladys Jones and three brothers, Clifford Coble, Reggie Coble and wife Theba and Winfred Coble and wife Frances, all of Julian, three grandchildren Jay Coble, Virgil V. Willard III, and Garrett G. Willard. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests that memorial contributions be made to the General Fund of Coble's Lutheran Church 5200 Coble's Church Road, Julian, NC 27283.5 |
