Wills, and half-brother, David Waugh, both of Berkeley Springs; four sisters, Barbara Reenes, Dolly Murphy, Kay Miller, and Kaileen Potter, all of Berkeley Springs, and half sister, Margaret Rose, Cleveland, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, March 3, 3:00 p.m. at the Berkeley Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Edward E. Rogers. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Johnson Funeral Home.1 |

Fields, Mrs. Edgar Henry and Mrs. Floyd Cain, Berkeley Springs and Mrs. Harry Miller, Arlington, Va; two sisters-Mrs. Bettie Cain, Berkeley Springs and Mrs. Ellie Albright, Pemberville, Ohio. Forty-three grandchildren and 18 grandchildren also survive. The body is a Parks Funeral Home where services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Paul Slonaker, of First E.U.B. Fritzman, died Wednesday afternoon, May 4, in Memorial Hospital here, where she had been a patient for 10 days. Born in Morgan County on Jan. 21, 1876, she was a daughter of the late George and Rachael Rankin Henry. She was a member of the E.U.B. Church. A member of a large family, she leaves 93 survivors-four daughters-Mrs. Laura Cain, Mrs. Mae Henry, Mrs. Virginia Fields, Berkeley Springs; Mrs. Lola Miller, Arlington, Va; eight sons-John and Dewey, Smithfield, Pa; McKinley and Charles, Berkeley Springs; Warner, Brent, Walter and Floyd, Moundsville; 49 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. The body was removed to Parks Funeral Home where services were held Saturday with the Rev. Paul J. Slonaker, pastor of First E.U.B. Church, and the Rev. A. W. Glover, of the Nazarene Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery.6 |

Comrade Henry was an old soldier, having enlisted under the stars and stripes to preserve the union. He was honorably discharged at Columbus, Ohio and was a member of George D. Summers Post 13, Grand Army of the Republic, and the Evangelical Church. He died at the home of his son-in-law, C.E. Murphy, in Allen District, March 27, 1913 at the age of 79 years, 12 months and 22 days. He was the father of five children, four of them survive - Hilton of Bath District, Mrs. Lizzie Fritzman and Luella Murphy of Allen District and Mrs. Laura Roach of Herndon, Va. Obit | Gladstone P.'s obituary was published in the Morgan Messenger on 3 December 1936: Gladstone Michael Succumbs to Effects of Streptococcus. Popular Young Business Man Had Been Ill Several Weeks. Gladstone, aged 27, son of Mrs. Blanche Michael and the late Milton U. Michael, died Monday morning about 8:30 at City Hospital, Martinsburg, after an illness which began several weeks ago with a sore throat which was later diagnosed as diphtheria. His condition steadily grew worse and about two weeks ago he was taken to City Hospital, Martinsburg, where it was determined he was suffering from streptococcus, an infection of the blood stream, and everything known to medical science was done in an effort to save his life. Several blood transfusions were given and at times his condition was encouraging to relatives but it is understood that doctors at the hospital had held out very little hope for his recovery from the time he had entered that institution. Mr. Michael, on the death of his father, which occurred three years ago, November 23d, had take charge of the business management of the tomato canneries operated her and at Great Cacapon, and had become recognized as one of the leading packers of tomatoes in the county. His mother, Mrs. Blanche Michael, and cousin, Ercel Michael, were associated with him in the business. Surviving are his mother, his widow, formerly Miss Reba Unger, a daughter of James R.S. Unger, a 14 month old son, Jimmie, and two sisters Miss Elsie, at home and Mrs. Mark Hill, Warfordsburg, Pa. The body was prepared for burial by a Martinsburg undertaker and brought to the home here. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, the funeral party leaving the home shortly after 1 o'clock for Mount Tabor United Brethren Church. Rev. W.E. Wolfe, a former pastor of the church, now of Lacy Springs, Va., officiated with Rev. C.J. Racey, the present pastor, and Rev. Robinson of the M.E. Church South, assisting. Interment was in Greenway cemetery here. Among those from a distance here to attend the funeral were: Rodwell Michael, Phillip Bohrer, Ira Widmyer, Mrs. Thurman Stotler and Mr. and Mrs. Bohrer of Washington; Bradford Michael, Millville, W.Va; Mrs. Clara Shirley, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shirley, Martinsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Michael, Winchester, Va; Kenneth Wrever and O.B. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille Cain Clark. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs and the former Duckwall Presbyterian Church. She had been previously employed at London Fog in Hancock, Md., and Interwoven Mill in Berkeley Springs and Martinsburg. Surviving are her husband, Paul D. Dodson, at home, two sons, Dale E. Dodson of Berkeley Springs, and Rodney K. Dodson, of Hedgesville; a sister, Shirley A. Miller, of Berkeley Springs; a brother, Larry W. Clark, of Berkley Springs; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Maji Lou Clark. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs with the Rev. Thomas W. Jackson officiating. Interment was in Spohrs Cross Roads Cemetery in Berkeley Springs.2 |
